2/14/2023 0 Comments Nebula class star destroyer![]() It is far better than something like the Tector or the ISD-II, maybe even the ISD-I, but the Victory line of star destroyers are also very efficient so i'm not sure. ![]() So, many consider this to be the best star destroyer, and, i don't know about that. Those that were used however were primarily used during the Yuuzhan Vong war to defend the core worlds, and they proved to be superb command ships. So, the Nebula was a very fine cruiser and ship, but it was very lightly used by the New Republic and the Galactic Federation, which is a shame. The thing i like most about the Nebula-class besides it's heavy armament and short size, is the fact that unlike the ISD-I and ISD-II, it doesn't have an exposed bridge, or any exxposed shield generators. ![]() ![]() Although it was only 1,040 meters long (65 of the length of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer), the Nebula-class was built to be a match for an Imperial II. They were also very heavily-armed, they had an armament which consisted of 40 Heavy turbolasers, and 40 regular turbolasers, so in total 80, and it also had 20 ion cannons and 8 concussion missile launchers, as well as eight tractor beam projectors. The Nebula-class Star Destroyer, also known as the Defender-class Star Destroyer, was the largest, most powerful warship design in the New Republic's New Class Modernization Program. They had a very reasonable price tag, and unlike the Imperial Star Destroyers, it was only 1040 meters long, which i prefer. They were capital ships that were made by the Republic Engineering Corporation for the New Republic from 15 ABY and onwards. So, this lovely looking thing right here is a Nebula-class star destroyer. ![]()
